1 little Egret in brook, then seen flying towards relief channel, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 garden Warbler, 6 blackcap. 4 Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff, 1 Reed Warbler, 4 Linnet, 1m Reed Bunting. (padock) 2 Mistle Thrush, 1 Pied Wag.

Sewardstone Marsh 1800Bold
10 Arctic Terns leaving res flying north east, 1m Northen Wheatear of Greenland race, on res bank, 4 Pied Wags, 4 Lapwing, 10 House Martin, 2 Linnet on res corner field. Greed Wood.

1 Common Sandpiper, 40 +Common Terns.

20+ House Martin, 2 Garden Warbler, 12 Blackcap, 8 Sedge Warbler, 21 Whitethroat, 3 Reed Warbler, 4 Willow Warbler, 4 Chiffchaff, 1 Linnet, 2 meadow Pipit, 2m Reed Bunting, Cuckoo, 3 Lapwing, 2 GS Woodpecker.

1 Grasshopper warbler, 1 Cetti's Warbler, 2 Garden Warbler, 8 Sedge Warbler, 18 Whitwthroat, 2 Blackcap, 4 Chiffchaff, 3 Willow Warblaer, 7 Linnet, 2 Reed Bunting m/f, 1 f Sparrowhawk, Green Woodpcker.

2 Common Sandpipers, Peregrine low across westwards, 20 Commmon Terns, at least 2 Arctic Terns.

20+ House Martins collecting mud from south end of meadows, 1 LRP, 3 Stock Dove, 3 Reed Warbler, 7 Blackcap, 3 Whitethroat, 2 Sedge warbler, 4 Chiffchaff, 2 Coal Tit, Cuckoo, 3 Reed Bunting, 2 lapwing. 1 Green Woodpecker.

4th may 2010

KGV South basin, 0615, bloody cold north wind but sunny.
1 Common Sandpiper, 40+ Common Terns probily a few Arctic too (wher's my zoom lens)

50+ Sand Martin numbers increased on second visit past res from 20+, 200+ Swifts everywhere. 2 Garden Warbler firsts for the spring here. 2 Sedge Warblers, 3 Reed Warblers, 4 Willow Warblers, 6 Chiffchaff, 17 Blackcap, 11 Whitethroat, 1 Kestrel, 1 Mink*, Fox with 3 cubs, Cuckoo, 4 Linnet three in KGV field, 2 Pied Wag's, 1 singing Mipit, 3 Lapwing, 1m Reed Bunting, 1 Shelduck, 2 GS Woodpecker, 3 Green Woodpecker,

2 Grasshopper Warblers one in same Elderberry bush, and another reeling further north on upper Plato. Cetti's calling on N/E corner near R.Lee first proper record here for me. 1 Lesser Whitethroat : ), Pair of Bullfinch in fligh on eastside upper, 1f Wheatear on model airfield, 2 possible Garden Warblers singing, 2 Sedge Warblers, 5 Willow warblers, 3 Chiffchaff, 1 Blackcap,1 Mipit singing, 4 Linnet, 1m non-breeder type Reed Bunting, Rabbit, 3 Green Woodpecker,

Staines Res 10:00 Strong Northerly, sunny, cold
1 Black Tern, 1 Kittiwake 1st summer my first for London : )

Staines Moor 11.30-13:30
5 Whinchat in one group, 8 Wheatear also in one group, the largest group of both speices I've ever recorded. 1 Cuckoo, 1 Green Sandpiper, 2 Redshank, 1 Cetti's Calling, 1 Little Egret, 3 Stock Dove, 3 House Martin amoungst other 3 herindines, GS Woodpecker, Green Woodpecker, Reed Warbler, Sedge and Willow, Chiff's, Common Whitethroat, Blackcap, nurmerous Reed Bunting and Mipits, 3-4 singing Skylark, heard RR Parrakeet.

2nd May 2010 (Black Sunday)

Barn Elms WWT am
No American Golden Plover : ( but did see my second ever Blue-headed Wagtail, 1 Dunlin, 3 Redshank, 2 LRPs, 3 Yellow wag's including blue-headed. Also missed Actic Skua, Back and Little Tern on KGV S, basin and Wood Warbler at Fishers Green.

1st May 2010

KGV South Basin 0730
No sighn of reported Little Tern, plenty of Common Terns Swifts, 1 Yellow Wagtail.

Sewardstone 0900
2 Reed Warbler (at last!! was beginning to think these were extinct here, but no, they are breeding by the reed mace), 1 Lesser Whitethtoat first of year prob only tut! not sure why so hard this spring, 5 Chiffchaff, 4 Sedge Warbler, 15 Blackcap, 3 Willow warbler, 11 Whitethroat, 2f Wheatear, 2 Green Woodpecker, pr Shelduck, Swallow, Swift and Sand Martin very abundant now, swallows hunting in padocks, probily breeding now. House Martin at least 6 n of kgv. 5 Lapwing, 1 Mipit. Few H.Sparrow's venturing about the area. 1m Kestrel from raptor vewpiont.

1 Grasshopper Warbler still in same Elderberry bush half way up east side of marsh, great views. Also Sedge, Willow, Chiff, Whitethroat, blackcap and singing Meadow Pipit and Linnet.

Staines Res
2 Dunlin, milloins of Swifts and midgies.

Staines Moor
1m Whinchat first of spring, 2 Little Egret, Cettis warbler, Reed Warbler, 2 Stock Dove, Skylarks, Mipits, 2 Linnet, m/f Kestrel.
